Tariffs are a bit more complex than what most economists believe. I am actually in the camp that they are slightly deflationary because they slow GDP growth. Does anyone have a better solution than imposing tariffs and deportations...?
Anyway, Canada should not be a concern based on your criteria ("unfair / not level playing field")...unless Trump is trying to extract political concessions from them.
