I see a lot of memes and vids on social media about how depressed some of these workers are for losing their job after their department was sliced. I saw the same when Musk laid off all of those Twitter employees. They went to social media and cried like little girls. Look....welcome to life. This happens. It is not uncommon for neither a company nor a government agency to downsize. People lose jobs. I have been laid off for the same reason 3 times before. Yes, it sucks. But it is also the way it works. Evidently, they don't teach that in high school before they head out in the real world. I don't understand why some people are so upset about something that is not unusual.

Get over it. Find another job.

As long as they pare down the government workers based on merit rather than some **** up DEI ****, we should see an increase in efficiency. Maybe 10% reduction in work done but a 30% reduction in workforce.

A net gain.
