The truth is, O'Connor was a Catholic, so was Kennedy (in theory, anyway), and Carter was a real Southern Baptist - that is until 2000 when he rejected Southern Baptists. If Richard Nixon was an Irish Catholic running Tamany Hall in the late 1800's, Carrol O'Connor would have supported Nixon.
