There were 6-7 "Old Country Docs" in our extended but close family when I was growing up.
Loosing a limb in a "Baler" was an emergency....measles, rubella, mumps, chickenpoxs and other what used to be normal run of the mill diseases weren't.
Now....this kind of thing would make you the Anti-Christ
