You have no sense of scale or of probability or else you would know that the odds of getting arrested the very first time you commit a crime are much lower than getting caught as a repeat offender.
You're too stupid to understand that they could have very easily known about his obsession many moons earlier but waited until the political conditions were just right to lower the boom on him.
I don't believe in perfectly timed coincidences that work for political purposes that happen over and over again..
