President Donald Trump said in a television interview Tuesday that “there’s talk” within his administration about creating a compensation fund for the hundreds of Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot defendants who were pardoned early in his tenure. “A lot of the people in government really like that group of people,” Trump told Newsmax, adding that they “were treated very unfairly.”
