But they didn't just ship cars over to sell here, did they?
For a time very early 1980s Renault was made in Kenosha for "American" Market before Chrysler came in wanted our big plants the "K-Cars" platform brought them outta "Bankruptcy" paid off the Federal Loans .
They sold so well Lee Iaccoca saw American Motors "Stuggling" and Spare Capacity keep up with sales.
From 1985/1986 on Kenosha manufactured Chrysler Products under "Contract".
By 1988 Chrysler fully bought out "AMC"
