April 9, 2025The White House on April 8, 2025, posted on its website an executive order amending the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) in response to China's 34% tariff on U.S. goods, effective April 10, 2025. 

Update: President Trump posted on social media that the tariffs on imports from China will be raised to 125%, effective immediately. The same social media post announces a 90-day pause on tariffs for countries that have not retaliated. KPMG's TradeNewsFlash will provide further information upon release of any official document(s).
