Is Russia a Christian country? Maybe. They were anti-Christian for 70 years, but before that quite tied to their Church. No matter. That is not the important argument I have to make. Indeed, I will make no argument, but rather, a fact-statement for you to take into consideration. Allow me a brief preface: I like you. I find you to be NOT two things I loathe: a mere troll with no convictions, or a partisan hack. You are a striver, in my view. So when I point this fact out to you, it is my intention that it get you to pondering.
This is what I will point out. You and I live in the same fact based world - and that is a fact. We put different importance on different facts, which brings us at times to synthesis or near synthesis of position. But more often, it has us on opposite sides of the fence, though we both be strivers and honest men. So what I would like you to think about is this fact:
You live in a world where the people pushing the gay and trans sickness are the good guys, and the people resisting it are the bad guys. CLEARLY, you view this sickness Trump is pushing (because he IS pushing it, since it is UTTERLY unresolved and it's a virus carried forward by our *** armies) as a transient matter that will be resolved eventually. In your view it is altogether proper that a people who allow the diddling of kids push their rules and their culture on a people who do not.
I live in a world where there is nothing transient about that ****, and that **** is evil on its face: the very devil himself, hissing through our tranny troops. For me, the child dangers are not just SITUATIONALLY incorrect. They are wrong in all places at all times, because they are child dangers. Until we resolve what is a boy and what is a girl, our mostly homosexual and transgender troops belong on American soil, or in Guantanamo.
Only after the collapse of the USSR, did Putin turn toward Christianity, aligning himself with the Russian Orthodox Church. Was this a power play or genuine love of God on his part. I think with Putin it was a calculated power play. I could be wrong. Only Putin knows whats really in his heart.
I have to judge him based on his actions, unlike you who seem to put your blind faith in the guy. I just don't. There is nothing peaceful about him, and in fact, he has and will murder for power. I believe he personally oversaw 5 assassinations of those critical of his leadership. I find that alarming. His power always derived from his network of former KGB operatives, many of whom Putin has helped elevate to prestigious political and business positions. I suppose that's no concern to you.
So, while you talk a good game about tranny troops, homosexuals and child dangers (all of which I actually do consider problems in American culture, btw), I'm not going to pretend that Vlad is some kind of good guy. In any event, the point I was making was that despite your claim that I'm obsessed with Russia and Putin - I'm really not. I'm not all that concerned about Russia.
