Electricity-producing windmills are like herpes. They popped up over night. Dotted the landscape with ugliness. And, then more ugliness when the fins break, the bodies rust and corrode, and they stop working. And, even more ugliness when the government has to pay companies to repair and replace beginning 3 days after a square mile of them start to break down.
Very true Skans...but, here is the burning question. Why was it ok to protect the **** "delta smelt" fish, at the expense of depriving fire fighters' water to fight fires, but birds being killed by windmills is just fine?
So, how many birds are killed by
wind turbines each year? Studies
published in journals like Nature Communications and data from the
Fish and Wildlife Service estimate that
hundreds of thousands of birds
are killed annually in the U.S. alone.
Seems democrats are all for harming kids and animals.
