Well, I have a question for you... and lets leave the federal governments OUT of this... How would you feel about a business that would charge one price for ONE group of people, and another one, 100 time HIGHER for YOU? I would bet it would PISS you off ! Well, I think THIS pisses Americans off... it pisses ME off for sure. There have been acts of violence against people and businesses for much less... and NORMALLY this would be taken care of by competition... but, many of the biggest companies today are somewhat insulated from that... and so, there are LAWS on the books, to protect us AGAINST "Price Gouging"...Skans » Today, 8:07 am » wrote: ↑ I believe they also charge different rates to different insurance companies as well. Another win for socialized medicine. Big government dictating what prices are "fair" to drug companies. What I'd rather see is our government making it easier for new drug companies to establish manufacturing plants in the US who can compete with Big Pharma to bring down prices that way. Or, shorten the length of drug patents, so generics can come onto the market quicker.
and THAT is EXACTLY what this is.. to the tune of hundreds of billions of $$$ a year ! ...that American citizens subsidize because much of it is bought with tax money, because MUCH it's paid for thru Medicare, and Medicaid !
