I'm going to make a several suggestions. Especially if you want to continue discussing firearms with us.
- Buy a semi-auto pistol or rifle.
- Go to the range and shoot the crap out of it.
- Find a gun show. Go to it. Don't be a dick. Don't touch people's guns without permission. Try to learn something and humbly ask questions.
