If you are inclined to panic, that's something you should maybe work on. If you are NOT concerned by that Orwellian ****, that simply indicates that you might have a naturally bovine disposition and be well suited to being manipulated by your betters.
And for the record, veterinrians have all of the education of human doctors,
plus extra education to work on animals. At least, that's what the guy at the feed store told me when I bought my Ivermectin.
Most vets will see your pet the minute your pet needs help, will perform tests in-house and interpret the results for themselves rather than shipping it off to a lab, and will put your animal down if that's what you request. It took me almost three **** years to find a human doctor who would do that, during which time I had to borrow against Granny's will to the extent that it was almost pointless.
You don't think that what he said will make more dollars for his company?
