Good compact carry pistol for an older lady?

What's the name of the actual company making these things now? Lorcin, Bryco, Jennings, Jiminez, Raven? Other than the possible exception of the original J-22, these guns are the **** guns ever made. I do have a Lorcin .380 that someone gave to me, well, because he had to. Some day, I'm either going to melt it down with a torch or trade it for a pair of Nike running shoes if they ever sponsor a gun buyback again. The extractors just snap, crackle and break. However, it was a good gun to practice polishing the chamber, ramp, fire control parts, etc.
