Back during the 1970s Oil Embargo we negotioated defense and weapons sales to their Kingdoms in return they agreed Sell their oil "exclusively" in USA Dollars and invest their reserves buying up our Bonds/Treasuries hence the "Petro/Dollar" was "Born" half a Century ago..
Since the 1970s we have found vast new "Domestic" Resveres of Oil as well as new extration technology..
We do not really need their oil anymore like back them days.
But still in our National "Interests" to maintain the "Petro Dollar" as well as Allied Military Cooperation and weapons deals to this very day
