How does an adult say that and not realize what a flaming asshole he is?

Beats the crap out of me. They both chastise people who do not spend all day and night here like the two of them do, for running from them.
I must admit, I do run from them sometimes, but not for the reason they think.
They both have the stamina of mental patients, and it gets exhausting sometimes.
