Pretty simple law to interpret. Not one that requires ANY amount of speculation on anyone's part EXCEPT the officer involved.
That's how laws work. What you "think" is immaterial. There was REASAONABLE belief that he would be harmed and shot to take away the threat. NOT a "self defense" claim, but one of how the LAW SAID WAS A REASONABLE RESPONSE.
