The Trump administration’s approach to tariffs and global trade; the economy; immigration and deportation; military deployments at home and abroad; the defenestration of some federal agencies and the weaponization of others against opponents real and perceived; the separation of powers; public health; civil rights; the environment; financial conflicts of interest; accountability, facts, and expertise amounts to management by fiat and whim. It’s skewed toward self-aggrandizement and grifting without stewardship or responsibility — and human beings, methodical policymaking and the American experiment are in harm’s way.
