Don’t shoot at cops’: Tulare County Sheriff on suspect’s killing by Bearcat PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE)
Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux announced this afternoon that the man accused of shooting and killing Tulare County Detective Randy Hoppert was killed after being run over by a Kern County Sheriff Bearcat vehicle.
“Don’t shoot at cops. You shoot at cops. We’re going to run you over. He got run over. He got what he deserved,” Boudreaux said.
Morales was run over by the Bearcat vehicle after a nearly eight-hour standoff with police and deputies from agencies across the South Valley.
Boudreaux said they intentionally ran the suspect over.
