It's not trump who screws the kurds. Their HISTORY screws the kurds - no matter who they deal with.
The kurds were pastoral wanderers - herdsmen - at the time when national borders were being drawn. They waved that **** off - they just wanted to tend their herds and flocks. And now, they are stateless, and they are no longer allowed to traipse through other people's countries. So they want their own - an ethno-state.
And you likely have some sympathy for their predicament - as I do. But YOU having that sympathy is different than ME having it. It does not make me a hypocrite.
If you are honest with yourself, you will confront the fact that white people wanting an ethno-state would encounter your opposition, where goat herders wanting it garners your sympathy.
Anyway, Trump never screwed any kurds. He's not the one who okey-doked them, armed them, empowered them to **** with erdogan. All Trump did was get out of Turkey's way.
Turkey is that country just next door to europe that we are co-members of NATO with - that country where we have nukes parked. They rank slightly above stateless wanderers.
The kurds were proxies, hired for their availability and proximity. The Turks are members of the biggest military alliance on earth, which we head up.
Grown people can read
that room from a mile away. Blaming Trump for THAT is just tds, when there's so much legitimate material. It shows poor prioritization of outrage.
All of that said, yeah. Kurds ain't likely to trust Trump. They clearly don't trust bibi.
