It's a rarity to
not know someone that appears to be scamming the system at least a little bit.
I have a friend who received a hip replacement years ago. He's fully mobile and works out 5 days a week.
Yet he qualifies as "disabled" and collect additional social security for that.
Technically he's not scamming the system but he is in no way disabled.
The entire system needs to have everyone re-enroll and scrutinized for actual need.

Doctors absolutely suck. Not entirely a personal choice. They have bills too.

there are a lot of people on disability that are not disabled
I know of people who use a dead relatives handicap parking because it is still in effect
