Obama Administration (2009–2017)Trump Administration (2017–2021)
- U.S. withdrawal completed in December 2011. ***
- ISIS expands dramatically during 2013–2014.
- Mosul falls in June 2014.
- U.S.-led coalition air campaign begins August 2014.
- Basically NOTHING else happened thru 2016
SO, In a NUTSHELL:
- Trump was sworn in as POTUS in January 2017.
- Mosul liberated July 2017.
- Iraq declares ISIS territorially defeated in December 2017.
- Final ISIS territorial holdings in Syria eliminated in 2019.
- Obama with-drew U.S. Forces in Dec. 2011, ISIS invaded Iraq in 2013-14, Obama didn't do much else thru 2016...
- Trump won the 2016 Pres. Election, THEN came in and WENT AFTER ISIS in 2017, Liberated Mosul in 2017, and Iraq declared victory in 2017... THEN, ISIS was defeated in Syria by 2019 !
SO, in a nutshell... it doesn't take a ROCKET Scientist to see WHAT HAPPENED. Obama STARTED it, and TRUMP FINISHED it !!
