Easier said than done. Drop a nuke and you endanger allies in the region with fallout. Not to mention some other wild **** with nukes might think it's go time.
If you send in troops just how many are you willing to sacrifice and still might not accomplish the intended goal. Not to mention the political ramifications.
Diplomacy is really the only option. Concessions will have to be made on both sides whether they like it or not.
