All of the women on the show have relatives who are or were in the mob. Some are deceased, some are incarcerated.
Some of them are married to them, some like Karen Gravano are the children of mobsters.
In Big Ang's case it was her uncle Salvatore "Sally Dogs" Lombardi who was in the mob.
