As a FYI, we don't sell "honeycomb" as that is like gold to a beekeeper that produces HONEY you STUPID ****!! I happen to know a few COMMERICAL BEEKEEPERS that earn over $200,000 a year AFTER expenses from their beekeeping operations. Sucks you don't and never will know any of them.
One of our LOCAL FIREFIGHTER CAPTAINS here started keeping bees 5-6 years ago with 3 hives, and now manages over 1,500 colonies, built a NEW HOUSE on 50 acres, and left that FF job 3 years ago to be FULL TIME beekeeping. Not only does he sell honey, and he built a $250,000 "honey house" last year including over $50,000 of extraction equipment, but he ALSO sells bees to new beekeepers that are OUTSTANDING nucleus hives. He sometimes sells queens that he raises too, for another added income stream.
Now, ****, you MIGHT have learned something.
Looking over various sources on the internet on this issue, it seems like most beekeepers bearly break even, because the expenses are so great.
If you were honest, you would give provide the correct answer, which is no. You cannot buy a house and raise 3 kids on the income of a beekeeper.
And I would then inform you that before there was 'capitalism'...going back a few centuries...you absolutely could.
also, you could in Germany in the 1930s...but that is all ruined now.
