I still cannot get past what the "opposition" would be doing if it had won.
With that absolute mess as the potential backdrop for comparison,
I remain less pessimistic than people feel I should be.
That IS what much of the finger-pointing seems to be.
I don't hate enough. Not angry enough. Sense the end of the world enough.
So, people try to goad me into squabbles about **** they do not realize they, like me, can do nothing about.

I watch old movies and tv shows from 30 even 60 years ago.
The commentary back then was similar to today in some ways.
Some things were world-changing events and the youngers were going to destroy whats left of civilization, etc.
Basically the hyperbole hasn't really changed all that much.
Warnings, head shaking, fingers wagging, people glued to the propaganda news...
America was ending back then too.
