In a prolonged SHTF you want a rain catchment system. Ideally you have a huge underground tank [cistern]..but if that isn't possible you can use food grade plastic barrels...50 gallon [or so] barrels are used by brewerys. I found some on Craigslist many years ago for $15 each. It cost me more to buy the plastic fittings and tubing to connect the barrels together in series. I use a PRE FILTER for the water that comes straight off my metal roof...it is a 5 gallon bucket with a mesh paint strainer stretched over the top.
The other "prep" is to have a way to hoist my well piping / pump out of the shaft if I run out of options. I have a tripod, pulleys and rope for that. The tripod is made from 20 foot sections of 1 inch steel well pipe and it is adequate to haul my 100 foot deep system out. It would suck to have to lower a can 100 feet down to get a drink..but being able to service my own well is my idea of being prepared.
For dental pain I keep clove oil...but concentrated hops pellets from a brewery supply work well too.
I had my doctor prescribe a mouth wash to treat flare ups [Chlorhexadine..?] and also Fluocinodide to treat scalp sores / skin rashes.
Baking soda and white vinegar have 1000 uses.
Bleach goes bad quickly..so you want to get calcium hypochloride crystals to make your own fresh batches of bleach. Just add water.
