Donald Trump Jr. Tweets Another White Supremacist Trope: A “Rape Epidemic” by Immigrants
Donald Trump Jr. seems to have taken over the “white supremacist outreach” position in the Trump campaign, and today he follows up his ugly “Skittles” tweet with one of the most common white supremacist tropes of all time: that immigrants are responsible for a “rape epidemic,” targeted against Western women. This one goes all the way back to the KKK-sympathizing silent film “Birth of a Nation.”
He’s linking to Breitbart “News,” because of course he is, and the article is a ludicrous anti-Muslim screed written by Anne-Marie Waters — who isn’t identified in the piece, but is a member of the UK’s far right UKIP and a director of an anti-Muslim group called “Sharia Watch.”
