After further consideration, perhaps you have a point.
I believe "compensation for services" to be what her personally does; that seems to be what the Framers intended.
For example, if a president produced an agricultural product that was at some point bought by a foreign government, was he barred from serving as president? Was he obliged to sell his farm?
I doubt it.
But I'll away further opinions from legal experts.
