You totally miss the irony that it is illegal for Americans to help each other by delivering their neighbor's mail.I can't believe the stupidity that comes out of your mouth (fingers) sometimes.Maybe you live in Mayberry USA, but I spent most of my life in a large city (NYC) and I assure you that I did not want my neighbors to deliver my mail, or go anywhere near my mail.I barely knew a lot of my neighbors, and I should trust them with my mail?I get about 5 or 6 pre-approved credit card applications in the mail every week. I really want my neighbors to get hold of those.People get a lot of sensitive materials in their mail like bank or credit card statements, not to mention checks. That's why tampering with the mail is a federal offense.I have never heard of anything so off the wall, as having neighbors delivering each other's mail. You have really out crazied yourself this time.I'll bet blind the political clout of the Post Office got that law passed. If the Postal Service had so much political clout then the Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act of 2006 (PAEA), that forces them to pre-fund 75 years worth of benefits in a ten year window, would never have passed.FYI the USPS's statutory monopoly on access to letter boxes was enacted into law in the Postal Code of 1872.And is has been upheld by the SCOTUS.The reality is, greedy, overpaid, generally lazy unionized Post Office employees have lined their pockets at Americans' expense. Those lazy postal workers manage to sort and deliver 660 million pieces of mail a day.Or maybe you think it gets done by the mail fairy? If you had to work one day (or night) in the Post Office, you would not think they are overpaid.Idiots like you think the Postal Service only consists of letter carriers and window clerks. You have no idea what goes on behind the scenes.I worked overnights, weekends and holidays for years, under less than ideal and even sub-par conditions. While you were sleeping I was working hard to make sure that you got your mail in the morning.Your contempt for the American worker is duly noted, Puss.I have never seen you lament over the fact that CEO's are lining their pockets at the expense of the American worker through low wages and the taxpayers through corporate welfare. The average Walmart employee would have to work 785 years to earn the CEO's annual salary. That seems fair doesn't it?
