I need to vent about the way that James Comey was fired.
I believe that Clinton was the only POTUS to ever have fired an FBI director, and he did it for very good cause.
William Sessions was dirty.
He had abused his power and misused FBI resources to fund travel and vacations for him and his wife.
He improperly billed the FBI nearly $10,000 for a fence around his home, and refused to turn over documents on his $375,000 home mortgage, which investigators said they suspected involved a 'sweetheart deal.'
And he (Clinton) also did it in a dramatically different fashion.
First of all, there was a long investigation, after which the Department of Justice produced a 161-page internal report with sworn testimony from more than 100 FBI agents citing the numerous and severe ethical failures of Director William Sessions.
Secondly Clinton informed Sessions in person that he was dismissed from his job.
And thirdly Clinton held a press conference at which he announced the firing and took questions from the press.
Clinton also had someone already lined up to replace Sessions.
Fast forward to today and we have a president who calls his AG and Deputy AG to the WH on May 8th.
The Deputy AG then issues a memo the next day recommending that the FBI director should be fired for the way he handled the Hillary Clinton investigation last year.
AG Jeff Sessions writes a cover letter and it's sent to 45 who writes a letter that same day firing Comey.
Now this is the best part.
Does 45 even give Comey the courtesy of a phone call? NO, he does not.
He has his long time personal body guard deliver a letter to FBI headquarters.
Surely he knew or should have known before he sent the letter, that Comey was not at FBI headquarters that day.
He was in California speaking to some of his employees, when a TV set behind him flashes the "Breaking News" that he has been fired.
Comey thinks it's a joke being played on him by his employees and he laughs and says that it's a 'funny prank' until his aides pull him into another room and tell him that it's not a prank.
So here is my thing.
What did Comey do that was so bad that he should have been treated in a such a low class and shabby manner?
Did he murder someone?
Did he steal money like William Sessions did?
45 treated the contestants he fired on The Apprentice with more class and dignity than that.
Why was it necessary to humiliate the man like that?
Comey is a decent man who had a good reputation and did not deserve to be treated that way.
In fact no one really deserves to be treated that way.
This is one of the main reasons why I have issues with 45.
It's about his temperament.
The way he treated Comey was mean, vicious and cruel.
And it was uncalled for.
I'm sure that 45's loyal Trumpkins will defend this, just like they do everything else he does, and the thought of that makes me sick to my stomach.
