That's funny, because from what you wrote right after that sentence it looks like you were spinning like a top.

Neither the audio of the incident nor the accounts of the people from Fox news who witnessed it bear out your version of the event.

The reporter was doing nothing different than any other reporter would do.
He was not 'hounding' Gianforte.

He asked a question about the CBO score that had just come out because Gianforte had refused to take a stand on the AHCA until the CBO released it's findings.

Since it was the night before the election, Jacobs felt this was his only chance to get an answer to that question, so when Gianforte refused to answer, he tried to ask it again.

Voters had a right to know where he stood on the AHCA before going to the polls.
It's kind of an important issue.

And Jacobs was not just 'shoved out of the way.'

According to eye witnesses, Gianforte grabbed Jacobs around the neck, slammed him to the ground and began punching him.

But I guess you know better than the people who were actually in the room.

People running for office and elected officials have recorders and microphones stuck in front of their faces all the time, and they don't body slam the reporters.

If they can't take being questioned about their positions, then they shouldn't run for office.
