I didn't see very much full-throated defense of him yesterday even from his own party.
The best they could say is that he still doesn't know what he's doing.
How long can they use that excuse?
Funny part is, he says that he never asked Comey to drop the Flynn investigation, but Paul Ryan said he did it because he doesn't know what the boundaries are between the president and the DOJ or the FBI.
So which one of them is lying?
He either didn't do it, or he did it because he was too stupid to know it was wrong.
(BTW, he sure as hell knew it was wrong for Bubba to talk to Loretta Lynch on the tarmac that day in Arizona, didn't he?
He went on about that all the time during the campaign.)
