Under the category of can't make this **** up, Congressman Joe Walsh [R-Illinois] has announced that the Family Research Council Action committee has named him a "True Blue" member of Congress for his "unwavering commitment and consistent support in defense of life and the family." Apparently that applies to other families, and not his own, since Rep. Walsh is $117,437 in arrears on his own child support payments. Walsh recently went off and had a meltdown on some constituents at a town hall meeting, who had the audacity to question the lack of regulation which ultimately allowed banks to bet against their own customers, and pointed out the presence of bank lobbyists in Congress and other financial regulatory agencies.VIDEOAt that same town hall meeting, Walsh, a Tea Party Favorite, then suggested that the federal government stop funding the U.S. Postal Service. "If the Postal Service can't compete in the marketplace," Walsh shouted. "I am tired of propping it up."I guess Walsh, like RichClem and many other right wing pinheads on this forum, doesn't know that the federal government does not fund the USPS. The Postal Service supports itself from the sale of postage and other services. Edited by MistyBlue, 09 November 2011 - 11:01 AM.
