Just saw Paul Ryan trying to guilt Democrats into voting for the CR because it includes the renewal of the Children's Health Insurance Program.

He doesn't need one single Democrat's vote to pass the CR.

He could have put the renewal of CHIP on the floor as a stand alone bill at any time since it expired last September and it would have passed, but he decided to hold it hostage.

Now he's whining about how important it is to renew it.

Anyway, many of the kids on CHIP use community health centers whose funding also ran out in September, and it is not included in the CR.
