As much as people bitch, I know people that don't have two nickels to rub together that somehow get knee replacements.
Who does that work? Prison doctors? Even that hack and his team need to get paid.

Yeah, I have no idea how that happens. I DO know that one of the big reasons for "doctors without borders" is that it's a way for surgeons to increase their skills in a place where citizens have no access to civil courts. I bought an ex wife some kind of knee operation - I believe it was around 3k on my end, and insurance paid about 10. But I can't swear to that.

The guy who did it - this was in the late 90s - had honed his craft on villagers in third world shyteholes. He had done literally thousands of interventions like the one he did on my wife. She had loose material between her knee cap and whatever is under there. Maybe her patella oblongata or her sacroiliac or possibly her lady parts. Dammit, Jim, I'm not a doctor. 

But yeah - someone is paying for that ****. And for soldiers and prisoners to mutilate their own junk.
